Chrystal dragged the chair to the railing and stood up on it. She wanted a better look at the town below the cliff the guild now lived on. The buildings below reminded her of something she saw in a movie about a young witch flying around. If Chrystal had a broom she could fly around town exploring. She kept thinking about the money she saved up and flying on a broom when finally she made up her mind.
“I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna break a rule!”
Chrystal hopped off the chair and quickly ran down to the first floor and picked up one of the old brooms tucked away then took it up to her room to get her money she saved up before returning to the balcony. She didn’t see Lawrence sitting outside but he saw her climbing up onto the abandon chair, purse over her shoulder and eyes twinkled with an idea. He thought nothing of it until she got onto the railing and broom under her.
“This ain’t gonna end well!” Lawrence quickly ran over to stop her but it was too late.
Chrystal jump down but floated up. She kept quiet as she flew around the house before flying away, never noticing Lawrence trying to grab her.
“I gotta tell Icarus!” Lawrence ran down and found the demon standing in the bar, this time Leia and Garrett were nowhere near by. “The little goddess ran away!”
“Hm?” Icarus looked over at Lawrence, trying to figure out why he was so upset. He took off his headphones and asked what had happen.

Chrystal laughed as she flew away and into town, keeping mind of the people around as she flew. This was the most fun she was having in a long time and no one could stop her as she flew away. She found a nice place to land, a green patch of grass by a bakery. The smell entice her to walk in and buy a small treat, as a way to celebrate that she was out on her own for the first time.
“Hello there little lady, shouldn’t you be in school?” A woman behind a wooden counter asked.
“Um I’m not in school right now.” Chrystal said. “I’m in Vigila and we set up home on that cliff overlooking the city. I was just looking out and saw how much your beautiful city reminded me of this town I once saw in a movie so I had to recreate my favorite part where she’s flying in the city for the first time!”
The woman let out a laugh. “How cute. Well, take a look around, if you have any questions go ahead and ask.”
Chrystal nodded and looked around, she ended up buying two sweet breads with chocolate moose in the center, asking about any fun shops she could go into next.
“Well there is a bookstore nearby, a small clothing shop with the most lovely dresses for little girls your age and across from it a toy store with some cute dolls and stuff animals.” The woman explained as she gave her change and a bag of food.
“Thank you very much, ma’am!” Chrystal said before running out. She looked around and saw a sign with a book painted on it. “There’s the bookstore!” She quickly ran across the street and walked in, overly excited about the new shop.
“Well, hello there young lady. Shouldn’t you be in school?”
Chrystal laughed when she heard that question, she asked if there were any books on little people, saying she heard about the book and was sad that she didn’t own it already.

“Okay, she couldn’t have gone far!” Hayner said as they looked around.
“Uh guys.” Spencer pointed to a little amber hair girl with a broom in hand running out of the bakery and towards the bookstore.
“Should we grab her?” Anthony asked.
“I say we keep a close eye on her.” Icarus suggested. “She ran out of the house on her own, let’s see what she’ll do next.”
The five watched the store seeing her walk out with another bag then walking down the street. They followed her and watched as she walked into a clothing store, they did the same and followed her to the toy store. Before she left town she saw a hobby store and a candy store, she quickly checked her cash then went in, buying more items. She took off and the five followed behind, seeing she made it home with no problem.
“That was fun! I should do this again soon.” Chrystal pulled out one of hard pieces of candy she bought. “And Icarus will never ever know what I did today!”
Icarus walked in the front door and let out a laugh, out of all the things he thought Chrystal could have done, flying around town and buying things for herself wasn’t one of them. She was treating herself to things she was denied for years and the smile he saw on her face was brighter than normal.
“I think we should go get Chrystal.” Hayner said quietly.
“No, let her be. What we just saw was her enjoying freedom. That’s something we cannot truly understand unless we’ve lived the life she lived.” Icarus explained. “If Chrystal wants to tell us, then let her tell us. If she doesn’t then we do not push her. She had her fun aventur, let her keep it a secret.”
With that Icarus went to get a book and find a couch to sit and read.

Chrystal quickly ran into her room and shut the door, summoning the bags she put away onto her bed. “I can’t believe I did that!” She said with a smile. “Now let’s get this stuff eaten and put away.”
There was a knock on Chrystal’s door before it open, in walked a member she didn’t know very well.
“So, it looks like the little brat broke the rules today and left without permission.” He said.
Chrystal turned around and tried to hide the things she got but it was too late, the member walked in quietly, not saying anything as he shoved Chrystal to the side.
“What are you doing?” Chrystal asked, scared of the answer. “Mr. Damian, what are you doing?”
Damian picked up the toy she bought, a rabbit wearing a beautiful gothic lolita inspired dress with bows in it’s curled ears.
“Aw how cute. It would be a shame if it was destroyed!” Damian said.
“Mr. Damian, give it back! Give back Gothy!” Chrystal begged.
Chrystal’s voice echoed a little louder than normal, Lawrence heard it and quickly ran to her side. “What the hell is going on in here?”
“Oh nothing, just punishing a very bad girl.” Damian said.
Lawrence stormed ove to Damian and took back the rabbit, returning it to Chrystal. “Put these away and go to Icarus.” He whispered to her before dragging Damian out of the room.
Chrystal used her magic to hide the stuff she got except for her rabbit and ran down to the demon, crying as she ran over.
“Chrystal, what’s wrong, you look like someone tried to destroy your joy!” Icarus said, pulling the child into a hug.
“Mr. Damian tried to destroy Gothy!” Chrystal cried, showing the demon her new doll.
Icarus looked down at the rabbit, shaking it’s hand then grabbed a tissue for Chrystal. “Now why would Damian Tonk do something like that?”
“He found out what I did today. He saw me leave without permission from you or Samara. I just wanted to have some fun! That's all! I came back home!” Chrystal was nearly hysterical when she told Icarus.
Icarus was about to tell Chrystal not to worry when a loud crash echoed in the house, alerting members. He handed Chrystal over to Hayner, telling him to get her out of the house while he dealt with Damian. Hayner nodded and picked up the girl, telling her they were going to get ice cream as they ran out of the guild house.

Icarus threw Damian out of the guild house, suitcase full of clothes that belong to the now banned member.
“If you so much as touch a hair on my daughter I will personally kill you! Now leave and don’t fucking come back!” Icarus shouted.
“Oh I’ll leave the little brat alone. I’ll leave her alone alright.” Damian muttered as he picked up his bag, he walked a mile down the dirt road, spotting Chrystal walking hand in hand with Hayner.
“See ice cream makes everything better in the end.” Hayner said with a smile.
“Yeah, but won’t Icarus and Mrs. Samara be angry at us?” Chrystal asked as she clutched her rabbit tightly.
“Nah, Icarus told me to get you away from there. I figured this would be the best thing.” Hayner said as they walked.
Chrystal nodded and was about to say something when she smelt something she recognized. She froze and looked around, getting closer to Hayner.
“Everything okay squirt?” Hayner asked.
Chrystal shook her head, looking around for the source of the smell.
“Well well, looks like the little slave remembers me.” Damian said, letting his true self show. His fangs grew long as horns grew on his head. He was looking more and more demonic as the seconds went by.
“M-M-Mr. Turner.” Chrystal stuttered.
“You know this guy?” Hayner blocked Chrystal from Damian's view.
“Know her, I was the one who turned her. I wanted her all to myself. She’s such an adorable little slave, has the most beautiful cries of pain and the sweetest blood a vampire can drink.” Damian said. “Now, hand my little vampire over or die!” He summoned a twisted looking blade and pointed it at them.
Hayner summoned his own sword, a broadsword with a skull on the hilt. “You gotta send me to the river of styx before I give you Chrystal!”
“That can be arranged!” Damian charged at Hayner and Chrystal, swords clashing with one another as they fought.
Chrystal backed away, it was al she could do as she watched the two fight. “I gotta help. But how?” She thought for a moment before coming up with an idea.
“Use it, the spell is strong.” A voice said in the shadows, a voice only she could hear.
“But wouldn’t I hurt Hayner?” Chrystal asked it.
“No, he’ll live, you must use darkness darkness in order for both of you to live.” The voice said.
Chrystal put Gothy away in the space that only she could get to and looked at Damian. “I’m sorry Shane, I know I promised I would never ever use this type of spell ever again but this man defending me is one of my best friends. I must do it for him.”
Damian threw Hayner down and tried to land a killing blow when shadows started to swarm around them. The two looked over and saw Chrystal was the source of it all.
“Darkness, darkness, burning bright. In the forest of the night. Let all know a fear so bright that only darkness can save this life. Darkness, darkness, burning bright so help me fight evil’s light. Let only those who know me best keep me safe and let me rest. Darkness, darkness, burning bright protect my mind from this here fight. Forget the world around me now, save me from this evil fowl. Darkness, darkness, burning bright, take this frame and fight tonight!” Dark shadows took over Chrystal, posing as an innocent child as it walked over to them.
“What the hell?” Hayner watched as the shadows grew around Damian, creeping up and grabbing hold of him. “Chrystal, what are you doing? Hey, can you even hear me?” He walked over to her and found that she wasn’t looking at him, only at Damian as the shadows thrashed him around.
Damian tried to fight back but couldn’t as the shadow Chrystal was proven to be too strong to stop.
“I gotta get help!” Hayner said, he quickly teleported back to the guild house and back with Icarus and Samara. “See! We gotta help her!”
Damian finally got out of Chrystal’s grasp and went to launch an attack at her but the moment he stepped over to her the shadows caused him to sink.
“How is she doing this?” Icarus asked.
“Don’t know, she used a speaking spell, like it was pretty loud when she cast it. Don’t know how to break her free from it.” Hayner said.
Icarus quickly went over to Chrystal, being mindful of the black below. It wasn’t pulling him in or hurting him, instead it pulled him towards Chrystal as if it recognized he was someone she cared about.
“Chrystal, stop this right now!” Icarus said, grabbing Chrystal by the arms and shaking her.
Chrystal blinked and looked around, it took her a second to remember what she had done. “Icarus?” She looked up and saw a slightly angry demon looking down at her, the shadows around had died off, freeing Damian from his sinking prison. “You got lucky Icarus stopped me.”
Damian fell to the ground, out of power to defend himself.
Chrystal walked over to the vampire and kicked him hard in the balls before running over to Hayner and Samara.
“Chrystal, what is going on?” Samara asked.
“That’s really Damian Turner, he’s the one who caused Noctus to nearly kill me. He’s the one who turned me against my will.” Chrystal explained. “I didn’t recognize him at first because I never saw him until that day. I never forget a scent. All I was doing was finally getting my revenge.”
Samara and Icarus just looked at Chrystal before having Hayner take Chrystal home.
“Hayner, am I in trouble?” Chrystal asked as he put her down.
“I don’t know, you almost killed a man today.” Hayner said.
Chrystal went up to her room and sat down, waiting for Icarus and Samara to scold her. It felt like days before the two came into Chrystal’s room, finding her looking down at her rabbit with tears falling onto the fabric. She didn’t notice the two had changed clothes.
“Chrystal…” Icarus said as he got on his knees. “We had a talk with Damian, he’s never going to hurt you or any one else again.”
“Are you going to send me away?” Chrystal asked.
“What, no of course we’re not.” Samara said, sitting down on the bed. “Why would you think that?”
“I nearly killed someone.” Chrystal said. “I know what I was doing, I used Darkness darkness speaking spell. I told it to help me kill Damian.”
“What kind of spell? I never heard of it before.” Samara asked.
“It’s a spell I made up when I was eight, I have a few that I use, one for hurting people badly, one to put me to sleep and one to protect me from danger.”
“Okay, why did you create those spells?” Icarus asked her.
“My dad said every Arte has create a spell that is unique, so I came up with the spell that could help me in any situation.” Chrystal explained. “I promise to never use it again.”
“Chrystal, don’t worry about it. If it was for protection then it’s fine. No one is mad at you, I personally don’t blame you for wanting revenge on those people.” Icarus said.
Samara pulled Chrystal into her lap, hugging her tightly. “It’s okay, we’re just glad to see you unharm.” She said. “Now, Icarus told me you snuck out. What did you see?”
Chrystal looked up. “You won’t be mad?”
“Nope! Now, what did you do today?” Samara smiled.
