“WHAAAAAT-?!!!”
I never really imagine what should be my reaction about this.
Marriage? Hephaestus?
I glared at Hephaestus once I think about his name. What did he do? Father should have forgotten this topic, eons ago.
Why now?
“Father, you seem to forget what we talk about the last time. I said I’m not gonna marry Hephaestus. I like him, but not as a lover.”
I made my decision long time ago, and hundreds of years will not change that.
“Dear daughter, listen to me first.”
It’s so rare for my father to be relax at this point of our talk, maybe he’s drunk? Should I thank Dionysus for this?
While Heppy is nervously looking at me.
I’m sorry for being like this Hephaestus.
I let out a sigh and wait for my father to explain his side.
“Aphrodite, I’m sure you are very much aware of your surroundings. My dear, I think it’s time for you to look for a partner, for your other half. It might do something about you, being so grumpy all the time. Look at your sisters, they are much in love, they are so radiant. I’m not saying you’re not my dear child.”
I want to hunt down both my sisters to know when, where, how and who they fell in love with. I’m the goddess of love, and why I didn’t know this.
“And I’m sure; Hephaestus is the right guy for you.”
Wait, what?
“Father, I didn’t get much time, writing my own love story. And I can assure you, I can be as radiant as Athena and Artemis once I’m not that busy. Please, just don’t force this marriage on my face. I’m sure Hephaestus is not positive about this matter too.”
We both look at the guy at the back who is so awkward standing next to us.
“Is that true, Hephaestus? You don’t want to marry my daughter?”
Ahh! Why asked that father.
Who will answer they don’t want to marry the Sky God’s daughter??
“If you will give me the permission to answer that question, sir-“
Hephaestus looks at me for brief of seconds.
Then-
“-NO, I actually want to marry your daughter, Lord Zeus.”
My jaw dropped.
