Piles of books flooded across a sturdy oak table. Princess Lilith's fingers busy, shuffling across pages of a dusty old book.
'Oh my, still at it my Princess?,' an almost bubbly voice broke Lilith's concentration.
'Good Morning Samuel. When did you get here?', The princess questioned as her eyes focus on the tanned, well built man lurking at her bedroom door.
'Few hours ago. The journey was dreadful but it is worthwhile considering I get to see you', his face radiated with a gleeful smile.
Princess Lilith set aside the 'History of Warfare' book and got down from the plush chair. She briefly smiled at Samuel and at the gentlest of motion, Samuel kissed her pale, soft cheek.
'Were you lonely without me here?', Samuel asked, caressing her stray wavy hair.
'Hmm.... Maybe? I am rather forgetful of your presence sometimes', Princess Lilith cheekily answered.
Samuel held her waist as he gave her a long and passionate kiss. The mute, golden decorated bedroom liven up with such definite romance. As the two enjoyed their now gradually escalating intimacy, a loud knock was heard.
'Yes?' Princess Lilith annoyingly answered the door. Sir Aiden's eyes gazed on her as he humbly asked the Princess to make her way to the throne room to start the Coronation.
Princess Lilith walked to the night stand in search for her accessories, leaving the door wide open with Sir Aiden now in full sight of Samuel's presence in the room.
Samuel smirked, knowing full well of Sir Aiden's particular fondness for the Princess. Sir Aiden was calm, his armor weighing on his body complete with his sword still in its' sheath.
'All right, I am ready'. Princess Lilith gestured for the two gentlemen to follow her to the Throne Room. Samuel, feeling bold had wickedly took Princess Lilith's hand and walked by her side.
The knight, flustered with jealousy followed right behind. As Sir Aiden remembered the many sweet moments he had shared with the Princess, his hand clutching even tighter to the sword.
Men, so caught in their own feelings. Princess Lilith thought to herself, well aware of the cold tension between the two men. Why wouldn't she? After all, she did have her way with the Sir Aiden even when she was betrothed to Samuel.
No more. No more faking love to a man whose eyes wanders, a man whose promises meant nothing.
As Princess Lilith's entertained the thoughts of freedom from the ill match with Samuel, she thought of how sweet it would be to finally be able to do as she pleases. To eradicate the sexist ways of the Royal Court, to do justice for the women in the Kingdom, and of course, to choose her lover without the connotations of power or social standing.

Princess Lilith was greeted with immediate bows from the mass. The ministers, priests and those of political importance readied themselves as Princess Lilith walked towards the throne.
