and that's the end, folks!
I'd love to hear any thoughts you have about it!

This little comic has been a very "close to my heart" experience, and while I could never put into full exact words all of the feelings that I've put into this, I'll at least take the chance to talk a little about the comic and its various meanings.
Rather obviously, it was inspired by the red string of fate and the concept of predestined meetings.
the first section of the comic deals with the heavy focus and misconception that it's all about meeting your "soul mate" at the other end, and that finding that one is the end of the rope, the person that will complete you.
I wanted to explore the idea of it not necessarily being about lovers, or even about other people. There is always a preoccupation with finding "the other end" of the string, but what I wanted to talk about was that it's not about finding the end. Its about the journey, the people you meet, and how certain meetings, or getting to know certain people, help you discover who you are.
You are a complete person on your own, but also your experiences and influences are what shape you.
i like it.
seems to be a whole lot about the struggle of growing up and finding out what you want and don't want in your life.
rejecting fate or seeking it out.
going with or against expectations.
what's funny is that even "adults" often seem unable to solve those tangles, and thus get tied down completely instead of finding freedom.
