Blue, color of the deep ocean abyss
The ocean pulls me in, spiraling down,
down into oblivion.
An ocean of my own sorrow and regret.
Grief it comes down over my head like the weight of a thousand seas,
Blue-green seas.
The grey clouds with their pewter blue raindrops falling on me,
the raindrops fall on my face leaving me misty eyed.
The blue bells hang from their stem,
as my head droops forward hanging onto my neck.
Is this really freedom,
when all i feel is regret?
Though a simple blue butterfly emerges from the flowers of a cadet blue wisteria tree.
It soars past reminding me there is still beauty in life,
Things can still get better.
Even if something is left behind,
New things are ahead and you still have what is there.
For I am blue, and so are you.
