Thanks for reading! This was the first fight scene I've ever drawn. There were a lot of unexpected challenges. The biggest thing was the simplest: left vs. right. I kept mistaking hands and directions! En would have her sword in one hand in one panel, then the other in the next...it was a disaster! Haha. It was a good learning experience, though.
As I press on making the Underground, which is arguably the biggest artistic project I've ever undertaken, I have found a new appreciation for all artists - not just visual artists, but any person who creates. Before, when I saw artists like independent musicians, I'd just think, "Oh hey, they're pretty good." But now that I'm doing a large-scale project that usually requires at least two or three other people all on my lonesome, when I see independent artists making entire albums or comic books or novels on their own...it's amazing! My respect level for them has really shot through the roof. It's just so much work and dedication, and I never would have known unless I had tried it myself. Well, now I know haha Also, speaking of independent artists, have you heard Paul Kim's new album? It's mind-blowing that he could make something that good on his own! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IF7U4D1suH4
Support your independent artists! :)

Deep beneath humanity's pristine capital lies humanity's unwanted - the dirty, the wretched. But like a rose that grew from concrete, there were some who refused to succumb. The thugs of the Underground rebelled against fate and reigned in the Golden Age of Thugs.
